Safety Systems

Each industrial robot system will include its own safety solution. We protect operators from the robot cell using safety scanners, light-barriers and fences in best combination designed depending on actual factory and system layout.

  • Secured robot cells are fully protected by sensors and/or fence – while in production.
  • Each robot system layout is designed to fit the actual factory site – considering walls, pillars, entrance and workflows.
  • Secured robot switch-OFF function is available allowing manual cutter operation.
  • Each system is delivered with a technical dossier documenting safety evaluation, CE-conformity, electrical schematics, operator guides etc.

Light Barriers

Safety light barriers are ideal in a robot installation for protection of the entrance areas. They are available in various configurations and can easily be combined with floor, wall, and fence mounting. This ensures easy accessibility and protects personnel. The choice for use of safety light-barriers depends on the individual installation layout and factory premises.

Fences

Safety fences are ideal in a robot installation for permanent protection. A fence can be positioned close to the robot and thereby reduce the footprint of the overall robot layout. Fences are available in various configurations and can easily be combined with floor, wall, and fence mounting.

Scanners

Safety scanners can be used in setups where it is desired to let the robot slow down its movements as an operator comes close to the cell – eventually stop. The choice for using safety scanners very much depends on the individual installation layout and factory premises.

Access Panel and Emergency-stop

Each robot installation will have an access panel allowing a ‘planned’ operator entrance to the running robot cell as well as re-engaging operation after leaving the cell. The access panel also include emergency-stop function.
