Celebrating 50 years in the top-tier screen printing industry
Industriprint is a highly experienced provider of screen printing solutions for industries. They have extensive knowledge and expertise in every aspect of this field, including selecting the right materials, choosing optimal adhesives, using the best colors, and employing the most efficient production methods. Additionally, they bring approximately 30 years of digital printing experience to the table.
Streamlining the Cutting Process for Resource Efficiency
During our visit to Industriprint in Aalborg, we spoke about their latest advancement: a significant upgrade to their current Zünd S3 L1200 cutter. This upgrade transforms the cutter into a fully automated cutting system equipped with a sheet feeder and a Robot PortaTable 130.
This versatile system efficiently cuts various items, including sheets and rolls, utilizing both a standard gripper and a postergripper. It handles items of diverse sizes, primarily focusing on foil and plastic materials.
While we observed, the machine effortlessly processed both small and large sheets with printed designs as well as rolls.
A boost in efficiency
We’ve witnessed a substantial leap in efficiency. In our previous setup, we manually placed sheets on the table and initiated the cutting machine, often leading to uncertain wait times before we could attend to the next task.
However, with our new system, there are no work interruptions, resulting in significantly improved efficiency. We’ve had the robot since early summer 2023, and it has been consistently productive since day one.
We’ve saved approximately half a person’s work hours on the cutting system
The system operates tirelessly, running throughout the day. We set it in motion when we arrive at work and frequently even when we leave for the day. We’ve installed a camera that allows us to monitor the work remotely from home. Once it completes a job, it automatically shuts down, ready for our next workday.
Particularly when we load a roll and use the poster gripper, it can continue working for many hours after the rest of us have finished our shifts.
Nothing less than brilliant
Getting the robot and cutter to operate seamlessly is incredibly straightforward and demands very little effort on our part. The decision to connect both the feeder and robot to our cutter has been nothing less than brilliant.
Jacob from Robotfactory assisted us in the design studio by demonstrating how jobs should be prepared for the robot, and the process has been highly successful.
We mainly receive print files and graphics directly from customers. But, before we can proceed with cutting and picking, some preparation is required. To accomplish this, we incorporate a cutting and robot layer, which instructs the system on where to perform cuts and pick items in alignment with the printed materials.”
What is screen printing?
Screen printing is a printing method that employs a finely woven fabric or template along with ink to transfer a design onto various surfaces. This technique is particularly renowned for its capacity to create vibrant and long-lasting prints.
